Both Claudia and I have loved this Miracle potion for YEARS and have been shouting it from our digital rooftops on Instagram and are finally sharing it here to our blog! We hope you come to love this as much as we do. We use this stuff kind of like ranch dressing….EVERYWHERE.

Two Powerful Ingredients

You only need to very basic, but very effective ingredients: white distilled vinegar and blue dawn dish soap.

White Vinegar

While most people don’t like the smell of vinegar, you can’t compare its cleaning capabilities or price to other non-toxic options out there. There is nothing like it. We use the All-Purpose White Distilled Vinegar, sometimes called Cleaning Vinegar, which is 6% concentration of Acetic Acid. Regular White Distilled Vinegar that we would cook with is at 5%. BOTH WILL WORK but the higher percentage will work a little better.

Dawn Dish Soap

This dish soap seems like such a simple ingredient and yet, it packs a punch. It’s a soap so naturally will work well at cleaning anything around the house, but it is the best grease-fighter on the market. That paired with the vinegar makes the ultimate dream team for keeping your house sparkling clean.

What You Will Need

  • Reuse-able Spray Bottle
  • All-Purpose White Distilled Vinegar, sometimes called Cleaning Vinegar OR regular white vinegar
  • Blue Dawn Dish Soap

How to Make Our Miracle Cleaner

  1. Measure Equal Parts Vinegar to Dish Soap. Regardless of how large or small your spray bottle is, you’ll want to make sure the vinegar and soap will fit in the bottle.
  2. Shake to Stir. Add the lid and shake vigorously to mix the dawn with the vinegar. When you are measuring, be sure to leave enough room in the top of the bottle so you have an easier time mixing the two ingredients together.
  3. Use as Desired. Whether you are cleaning your bathroom, your kitchen or spot treating some stains, you will fall in love with this simple, homemade cleaner.

FYI- Yes, this will smell like vinegar!! It’s a vinegar based cleaner. It’s going to make your house smell like vinegar for a few hours. But the smell quickly dissipates and you’re left with a clean home. We think this small inconvenience is worth it. Don’t knock it til you try it, friends.

What Can I Clean With This Homemade Miracle Cleaner?

Here are our favorite ways to use this miracle cleaning potion. The sky is the limit!

Shower Glass

If you have hard water spots galore or lots of grime and dirt on your glass shower doors, look no further! This cleaner works like a charm. Spray your shower glass with the miracle potion and using a damp sponge, wipe the entire shower door so the entire thing is covered in a thin layer. Let this sit 1 hour (or longer!). When you’re ready to rinse, scrub one more time with that damp sponge and rinse clean.

Shower Floors

To shine up your gunky tile shower floors, spray the miracle cleaner generously over the floor and scrub with a large cleaning brush to create one thin layer. Let this sit 1 hour or longer. When you’re ready to rinse, add a little water and scrub again with that cleaning brush and rinse clean.

Tub Rings

Besides shower glass, this is my next favorite thing to clean with this miracle cleaner! Spray your tub ring generously with the homemade cleaner and let sit 1-2 hours. If it’s a particularly bad ring, let it soak 3-4 hours. When you’re ready to clean, add a little water to the tub and scrub the ring away using the rough side of a sponge or a scrub daddy sponge. Rinse clean.

Stain Remover

Whether you are trying to remove grease, chocolate, or fruit juice stains, we got you covered with our magic cleaner! Spray our miracle cleaner onto the stain generously and soak 6+ hours to overnight. Depending on the severity of the stain, you may need to wash and reapply. Keep up this pattern until the stain is completely gone. I’ve done this with grease stains and cherry juice stains on white and colored clothing. It works for it all.

    1. Genius idea to add the essential oils! But yes, you still need to spray quickly and leave… but it just works so well, it’s worth it!
